While researching the Crotser family, I found that, not only their genealogy, but also the local and national occurrences of the time were interesting and interwoven into their lives. While studying my ancestors, I also tried to find what important events were taking place in Fayette County, Illinois, the home of this family, and in the young and growing United States.
